Today's featured race is a July 31st 2005 Formula 1 race at the Hungaroring; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_Hungarian_Grand_Prix. The 2005 Formula 1 season was the year that Tire changes were not allowed during the race. The lack of tire changes was probably the reason why the 14 cars out of 20 with Michelin tires did not run the US Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. They didn't feel they had a tire that could go the distance at IMS. The 2005 season was significant in that Fernando Alonso won his first of two straight championships for the Renault team.
