The 2007 NHRA Season started with the Winternationals in Pomona CA on Feb. 11th. It ran 23 races and ended with the NHRA Finals also in Pomona CA on Nov. 4th. This was the first year of the Countdown Points format. In this years format the first 17 races was the countdown to 8 where the top 8 in points are reset 10 points apart from each other.
