If Coca Cola becomes the title Sponsor of the NASCAR Cup series. The Hendrick cars will be forced to give up their Pepsi sponsorship because no race team is allowed to be sponsored by a competing company as the title sponsor. Dale Earnhardt Jr. recently lost the National Guard as his sponsor because of political reasons, and if the Coca Cola thing happens, he will lose his Diet Mountain Dew sponsorship also, because Mountain Dew is a Pepsi product. Rick Hendrick will eventually need to find a seat for young Chase Elliott, Chase is the 18 year old son of 1988 Cup champion Bill Elliott. Chase recently became the youngest champion of any major NASCAR Series, winning the what is now the Xfinity series title this past year.

I predict Chase Elliott will replace Earnhardt Jr. because Junior has no other sponsorship other than Nationwide Insurance for 15 races. Chase Elliott will bring the NAPA Sponsor up to the Cup series with him.

My other prediction will be that Dale Earnhardt Jr. as a result of losing his Hendrick ride will replace a retiring Tony Stewart at Stewart Haas racing, taking the Nationwide Insurance sponsorship with him, and Stewart Haas will keep the Bass Pro Shops sponsor with the 14 car, thus reuniting Junior with Bass Pro Shops. Bass Pro Shops sponsored Martin Truex Jr. when he won his back-to-back Xfinity championships in 2004-2005 driving for Dale Earnhardt Jr's Team.
